Skips

Below are examples of the skip sizes that we have to hire, these sizes are intended as a guide only and refer to a skip's capacity, dependent upon the type of waste:

  • Mini – 1.5 cubic yards
  • Midi – 4 cubic yards
  • Builders – 8 cubic yards
  • 8 Yard covered bin – 8 cubic yards
  • 10 Yard – 10 cubic yards
  • 12 Yard covered bin – 12 cubic yards
  • 20 Yard RoRo – 20 cubic yards
  • 30 Yard RoRo – 30 cubic yards
  • 40 Yard RoRo – 40 cubic yards

When ordering a skip the following may be useful:

Adequate access is needed for us to deliver your skip, so please allow 10ft clearance. Most drives should be suitable but thought should be taken on the surface as the lorries and skips can be heavy. Please advise us of any exposed drain covers, low branches or restricted access.

For inert waste and other heavy materials (soil, rubble and garden waste), the maximum size skip will be the builders skip, otherwise our lorries may not be able to pick them up.

Please remember that we are unable to take any of the following items without prior arrangement: Refrigerators, Freezers, Tyres, Televisions, Computers, Monitors, Mattresses, Batteries, Asbestos, Sharps or any other Poisonous, Noxious or polluting materials. If any of these items are placed within our skips it will incur additional charges or will require collection from our site.

If you are not able to accommodate a skip on your land you may require a permit to place it on public highway. Allow 3-7 working days (dependant on where you are) for us to obtain one from the council. The highway is normally any land outside your garden fence or property boundary, this includes the grass verge, pavement, parking areas and the road.
